Pakistan hands over 86 fishermen to India

Attari, Mar. 7 (ANI): Eighty-six fishermen and one Indian citizen – freed by the Pakistan Government as a goodwill gesture from Landhi Jail Karachi recently – were on Monday handed over to the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Attari-Wagah border on Monday.

The fishermen had been languishing in prison for over last two and half years. Reports suggested that around 500 Indians, mostly fishermen arrested allegedly for territorial violation. (ANI)
