New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) A partly cloudy day on Wednesday gave Delhiites a little respite from the scorching heat during the day and a comparably cooler evening.
The day’s maximum temperature was 39.9 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the minimum was 27.6 degrees, three notches above the season’s average, the weather office said.
The clouds kept the temperature in check but there was no rain during the day.
Tuesday’s maximum temperature settled at 39.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 30.0 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met office, the same pattern of temperature would continue for the next few days, with the mercury remaining below the 40-degree mark.
Light rain may occur in the city in the next 2-3 days, the weather office said.
