Karachi, Jan. 31 (ANI): Asserting that the attack on the Pathankot air base in Punjab dented the dialogue process between Pakistan and India, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured of a thorough and fair probe into the attack.
“Matters between India and Pakistan were heading in the right direction but the Pathankot incident has disturbed the peace process,” Sharif was quoted as saying by the Express Tribune.
Responding to queries about the ongoing investigations into the Pathankot attack the Prime Minister stressed that Pakistan will not let terrorists use its soil against any country
“We will go to the bottom [of the case] to find out what happened,” he added.
Following the deadly attack on the Indian Air Force in Pathankot on January 2, the recently resumed dialogue process between the hostile nations has been derailed as the foreign secretary-level talks initially scheduled for January 15 have been put off for now. (ANI)
