Pedestrian struck by tractor; in critical condition

policelineInvestigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle that occurred in Mississauga.

On Saturday July 23, 2016, at approximately 8:20 a.m., the victim, a 58 year-old female from Mississauga, was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle while crossing Eglington Avenue East in Mississauga. The vehicle, a black Peterbilt tractor without the trailer was making a turn onto Eglington Avenue East at the time of the collision.

The victim was transported to a Toronto Trauma Centre where she is in critical but stable condition.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or who may have information about the actions of the driver and the pedestrian prior to the collision.
