Peel Regional Police will be holding a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day on Saturday, May 14, in conjunction with their Police and Community Fun Day.
This event provides an opportunity for area residents to clear their homes of all expired and unwanted prescription medications and the potentially dangerous effects that often accompany them. There is no need for you to identify yourself upon dropping off your items.
Most prescription drugs within our homes can have a devastating impact on people’s lives and their family members if accessed and improperly used.
Recent trends have shown that an alarming number of teenagers are experimenting with Prescription Medications discovered within their own residences.
The prescriptions can be dropped off at the Emil V. Kolb Centre, located at 180 Derry Road East, Mississauga, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – CINEWS
