As it drafts its 2018-2019 budget priorities the Peel school boards are seeking inputs from the public, students, staff and parents before decisions are finalized. The time to have your say is now and to ensure your input is heard, there are three ways.
Those interested can delegate the board at a regular meeting on March 27, April 10, April 24 or May 8.
Your suggestions can also be sent through your school council by contacting the chair to find out when the council will discuss the budget.
Or better still for those time-challenged individuals, opt for a short online survey that can be found at www.peelschools.org/BUDGET by March 31.
And if you aren’t familiar with the board’s strategic plan which is understandable, then you might want to consider poring over it at www.peelschools.org/PlanforStudentSuccess.
Being actively engaged in all that is happening in our schools should be a compulsory civic duty. After all what happens inside schools affects society in one way or the other and at some time now or in the future.
