Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar led the cast of Pink observing a minute’s silence on Wednesday in memory of the Indian soldiers martyred in the terrorist attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.
All the actors and the members of the media took part in this silent tribute.
“It’s a bad and a painful incident that has happened and we are with the soldiers and their families. Let’s wait (for India’s decision). We really didn’t like what happened… It was really horrible,” Sircar said at a promotional event for “Pink”.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and co-produced by Sircar, the film also features Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Angad Bedi, Piyush Mishra and Dhritiman Chatterjee in key roles.
Taapsee, Roy Chowdhury and Bedi, who were present at the media meet, stood up with the rest of the crew in attendance.
