New Delhi, March 7. (ANI): Who says designer collections are for the middle class? Quashing this stereotypical thought, comes up the designer duo Mehak and Ashish with their spring summer’16 collection under the label ‘Platinoir’ which was launched in the national capital recently.
Speaking to ANI, Ashish said, “We did a lot of research and found a mid-segment void in the market.technology is changing, fashion is changing. People now-a-days don’t like to repeat their clothes and hence don’t spend much on them. So you have ‘mass brand’ who gives repeated styles and on the other you have the fashion brands.”
“So we tried to cater the mid segment where we tried to match up to the need of the Indian audience keeping the price in mind,” added the designer.
Designed for the coolest girl in the room who can pull off a chic yet glamorous outfit, ‘Platinoir’ is for someone who is fashion-forward and has no inhibitions. The designs are a combination of individuality, classy and urban essence with comfort and versatility.
The designer duo even mentioned that their collection is designed keeping people of any shape and size in mind.
The collection features romantic pastel hued tulle dresses hand crafted with aari work, embellished with sequins. Classic designs exude timeless elegance, paired with a contemporary edge.
The quintessential evening adorned a spring summer theme resplendent with English and spring summer elements including British menu and pampering beauty services for the guests to enjoy a fashionably relaxing evening.
Guests, that included Gauri and Nainika, stunning models Hida sidique, Preeti Dhata, Sonalika Sahai and many more, were seen mingling and posing for pictures in their beautiful spring summer outfits. The stunning new SS-2016 ‘Platinoir’ collection was on display and was received with unanimous acclaim.
‘Platinoir’ started with its own web portal and then collaborated with ‘Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop,’ an online fashion store by model/actress Pernia Quereshi. (ANI)
