‘Plus Size’ health, fitness & lifestyle magazine launched

FabPlusFabUplus, North America’s first body positive health, fitness and lifestyle magazine with weight neutral content dedicated to women with curves,  has been launched, according to a report from Vancouver.

FabUplus Magazine is the long-awaited voice of the plus size community and is breaking traditional media rules by showcasing the plus size community and encouraging women to be confident with the way they look.

“There are more than 167 million plus sized women in the United States and Canada.  FabUplus is the first media outlet of its kind to represent a demographic traditionally left untouched by the publishing world. Unlike any other health and fitness publication, FabUplus isn’t here to change the reader – it’s here to embrace them!”, according to Shannon Svingen-Jones, owner and founder of FabUplus.

The body positive movement is making headlines across the United States and Canada. FabUplus aims to spread body positivity and inspire the female population to be confident in their own skin. Real life women are showcased throughout the pages, not only as models, but through their stories. FabUplus has set out to break boundaries and create a community amongst women who feel good about their bodies and live a healthy life, no matter what their size.

Svingen-Jones, says, “Our goal is to empower, encourage and inspire women to maintain a healthy lifestyle no matter what your size. Size does not define one’s health and fitness level, and FabUplus celebrates a woman’s inner curves. The unique editorial content relates to the plus sized community, engaging and informing women to be fit, healthy and curvy at the same time.”

Published four times a year, FabUplus offers both print and online subscriptions. The magazine is also available on newsstands throughout the United States and Canada. With articles tackling issues such as body positivity and self esteem; highlighting healthy recipes; trending topics in fashion; and showcasing their readers’ stories,FabUplus encourages self-love and empowerment.
