Sitamarhi (Bihar), Oct. 27 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the leaders of grand alliance are making baseless allegations against the NDA as they are aware of their fate in the Bihar Assembly polls.
Prime Minister Modi urged the people of Bihar not to cast their votes in favour of those practicing caste-based politics.
“If Bihar wants to succeed it has to choose the path of development which will be provided by the BJP-led NDA Government,” said Prime Minister Modi while addressing an election rally here.
“On one hand there is development, on the other there are some opportunists. The solution for all problems in Bihar is not Modi, but development,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi further said that the leaders of the grand alliance were making desperate attempts to portray him in negative light.
“I had promised to give a package of Rs. 50,000 crore, but when we came to power we gave Rs 1.65 lakh crore. We want to provide electricity to each house in Bihar. We have already decided to give Rs. 250-300 crore to each district,” he said.
Reiterating his ‘tantra-mantra’ jibe directed at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Prime Minister Modi said that the assembly polls was crucial this time as it would decide the future of Bihar’s development.
“This is not just an election of which political party must come to power. It is an election for the future of Bihar’s development,” he said.
“You need to decide whether you want ‘tatra-mantra’ (magic spells) to pave the path to development or ‘loktantra’ (democracy),” he added.
Prime Minister Modi also reached out to the Dalit community by calling Valmiki Jayanti a fortunate day for addressing a rally.
“Today is a fortunate day. I wish Lord Valmiki blesses me to serve each person and mother Sita protects us and blesses us so that I never let anything come in the way of my service to you,” he said.
Highlighting his commitment towards serving the people of the nation, Prime Minister Modi said that he has not taken even one day off in his service of 16 months.
“I have not come to power to enjoy the power of my position. It has been nearly 16 months, and I have not taken even a single day off,” Prime Minister Modi said.
“This is not just an election of which political party must come to power. It is an election for the future of Bihar’s development,” he added.
He mocked Nitish for reciting a song from the movie ‘3 Idiots’ during his rally on Monday.
“The RJD, JD (U) and Congress joined hands to form the ‘mahagathbandhan’. Why did Nitish Kumar find a song from movie ‘3 Idiots’ only,” he said.
The Bihar Chief Minister had yesterday lashed out at the Prime Minister for failing to fulfill the promises made to the nation.
