New Delhi, Jan. 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the nation on the occasion of India’s 67th Republic Day and hailed the contribution of those who framed the Constitution.
“Republic Day greetings to all my fellow Indians. Tributes to all great personalities who framed our Constitution. I salute Dr. Ambedkar for his efforts as Chairman of Drafting Committee,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
The nation is celebrating its 67th Republic Day today and the main function will be held at Rajpath in the national capital where President Pranab Mukherjee will take salute of the parade and French President Francois Hollande will preside as the chief guest.
In view of recent terror attacks in Paris and at Pathankot air base, stringent measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incident.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation yesterday. (ANI)
