Dushanbe (Tajikistan), July 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held restricted talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.
Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.
“Deepening a Strategic Partnership. PM @narendramodi in restricted talks with President Emomali Rahmon,” he posted.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome in Tajikistan, where he arrived on the last leg of his Central Asian tour.
The last prime ministerial visit to Tajikistan was by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in November 2003. (ANI)
