London, Nov. 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a three-day visit to United Kingdom, held talks with NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul in London on Saturday.
He reportedly conveyed his commiseration to Lord Swraj Paul whose youngest son Angad died a few days ago after falling from his penthouse in London.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) plant, a subsidiary of India’s Tata Motors.
JLR annually manufactures around 425,000 vehicles, which are sold across the world.
On the sidelines of the G20 meeting, PM Modi will meet leaders of BRICS countries-Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa-to review their two initiatives launched last year, the BRICS bank and the contingent reserve arrangement.
The summit leaders will also discuss global economy and strategies for economic growth and employment, different critical issues related with financial sectors including trade flow.
The Sherpa for G-20 Summit Arvind Panagaria had said that G-20 Summit will focus on ensuring inclusive and robust growth through financial inclusiveness, implementation and investment for growth.
According to Pangaria, India is going to give its main focus on economic agenda. Issues related with International Monetary Fund, IMF, will also be a major focus point for India.
The current immigration crisis and ongoing Syria conflict is also going to be part of discussions among G-20 leaders. Media reports say that the ongoing Syria war and security crisis are also among the agenda for discussion.
There will be several bilateral meetings too with world leaders on the sidelines of the summit, which will help deepen India’s bilateral ties.
The horrific Paris serial attacks that struck the city late on Friday night is also expected to be an important topic of discussion. (ANI)
