PM Modi, Sheikh Hasina hold bilateral talks in New York

New York, Sept. 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi had bilateral talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina here on Thursday.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vikas Swarup conveyed this information on Twitter.

“Dhaka, New Delhi and now New York. PM @narendramodi meets with PM Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh for a bilateral session,” Swarup tweeted.

Both leaders met at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York.

Bangladesh Finance Minister A M A Muhith, Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali, India’s Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and Vikas Swarup were among those present during the meeting.

Both leaders last met in Dhaka in July earlier this year when they finalised the historic Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) between India and Bangladesh. (ANI)
