PM’s office acknowledges eight-year-old’s letter

Bengaluru, Oct. 15 (ANI): An eight-year-old boy from Bengaluru is ecstatic after receiving a reply to a letter he wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, complaining about traffic snarls due to an incomplete flyover.

Abhinav had written a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), saying it takes him 45 minutes to reach his school in Yeshwanthpur area, which is only three kilometres from his home in Doddabommasandra.

Abhinav, a student of class 3, said he thought of writing to the prime minister as his studies were being affected.

“He (Modi) is the highest person; so he can solve any issue. That’s why I thought of giving it (the letter) to the Prime Minister,” said Abhinav.

It took the student of the National Public School two to three days to write the letter to Modi since he wanted to convey his message in a ‘good handwriting’.

Abhinav’s father, Suresh Kumar, expressed pride in his son and was pleasantly surprised to receive a response within two weeks of having written the letter.

“Seriously, I did not expect (PM Modi’s action). And, I must congratulate the PMO; they responded in two weeks time. And, it seriously was out of our expectations; that’s something good. I hope that something would really happen now, and (it would) put an end to the suffering everybody has been facing,” said Kumar.

The reply from Prime Minister’s Office said the concerned authorities have been directed to look into the issue. (ANI)
