Police looking for woman who assaulted girl with hijab on the SRT

Scarborough, December 18 (CINEWS): Police are searching for a woman who they say is involved in a hate crime. She allegedly assaulted and pulled on a girl’s hijab while making racist comments in an attack that occurred on the Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT) network. suspect
The incident is being investigated as a hate crime and is said to have occurred on the afternoon of December 10 aboard an SRT train in the Scarborough Town Centre area.
The suspect is described as 20-30, five feet five inches tall and with shoulder-length dark hair. She was wearing dark-framed prescription glasses, a blue bomber-style winter jacket, skinny jeans and black shoes.
She is alleged to have pulled on the girl’s hijab, kicked her and yelled profanities. They got off the LRT and went to a bus platform, where the suspect continued to make racist comments about the girl’s attire.
