Police still looking for man who punched ‘honking woman’

York Regional Police has released  A dashcam video and is asking for public assistance in identifying a man wanted for an assault that took place in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, shortly after 1 p.m., a woman was driving her vehicle on Cordoba Drive, stopped at a red light at Bathurst Street. A man was seen crossing the intersection and as the light turned green, the man was still walking across the intersection.

The woman in the vehicle honked her horn at the man. The man walked up to the driver’s window and punched her in the face. The victim stepped out of her car and was assaulted again by the man. The victim suffered a black eye, but declined medical attention.

A dashcam in the victim’s car captured an image of the suspect. Investigators released a picture of the suspect, but have not yet been able to identify him. Investigators are now releasing the dashcam video and are appealing for anyone that can identify him to please come forward.

The suspect was described as: Male, 60 to 70 years, 5’11”,  medium build, Grey hair with a grey moustache and goatee, Wearing a light-blue collared shirt and beige pants.
