London, Sept. 20 (ANI): Polls have suggested that Greece’s Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras might squeak home in Sunday’s snap election as the exhausted Greeks fear fresh turmoil ahead.
According to The Guardian, polls show the race to be extremely close as it is impossible to predict anything.
The ballot, the third this year, has drawn little publicity and even less enthusiasm, but it is poised to play a decisive role in a country whose battle against bankruptcy has assumed epic dimensions in recent years.
A flurry of polls released late on Friday, the last before ballot boxes open at 7 am on Sunday, revealed Syriza to be narrowly ahead after late gains by Tsipras. (ANI)
