Pop-up food markets to be launched at subway stations

New pop-up food markets called Grab Some Good at subway stations across the city will be launched at a media event on Thursday by Dr. David McKeown, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health, . The initiative, a collaboration with FoodShare and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), will bring fresh, healthy and culturally diverse foods to commuters as they move through their day.

The event will be held at the  Downsview subway station, 1035 Sheppard Ave. W.

Food plays a vital role in building healthy people, communities and cities. With millions of people using the TTC each day, Grab Some Good markets will provide important access points for nutritious and affordable food choices. – CINEWS
