London, July 9 (ANI): Pope Francis has arrived in Bolivia, the second country of his seven-day Latin America tour after Ecuador.
According to BBC, Pope Francis after landing at the La Paz airport spoke about the need to save the vulnerable people in society from the effects of capitalism.
The Pope was welcomed by President Evo Morales, who gave the pontiff a ritual pouch with coca – a sacred leaf in the Andes.
During the welcome ceremony at the airport, the pontiff praised Bolivia for encouraging the poor to be active citizens. (ANI)
