Proteas name squad for remaining Tests, ODIs against England

Johannesburg, Jan.8 (ANI): South Africa have named an unchanged squad for the remaining two Tests and the 14-man squad for the upcoming five-match ODI series against England.

Reflecting on the Test squad, Cricket South Africa selection convener, Linda Zondi said that they were highly impressed by the side’s performance in the second match that ended in draw and therefore, had decided to carry on with the same team for the remaining matches.

As far as ODI squad is concerned, Aaron Phangiso has been dropped while Rilee Rossouw, who was ruled out of the series against India due to injury, has been recalled for the series against England.

South Africa are currently trailing 0-1 in the four-match series following their humiliating 241-run defeat in the opening Test in Durban.

The two sides will play the remaining two Tests in Johannesburg and Centurion followed by five-match ODI series, starting from February 3.

South Africa Test squad: AB de Villiers ,Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Morne Morkel, Chris Morris, Dane Piedt, Kagiso Rabada, Rilee Rossouw, Dale Steyn, Stiaan van Zyl, Hardus Viljoen.

ODI squad: AB de Villiers, Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis ,Imran Tahir, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Rilee Rossouw, Dale Steyn.(ANI)
