Public assistance sought in Brampton shooting case

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two suspects involved in a shooting incident in Brampton.

On Friday, May 6, 2016, at approximately 12:20 p.m., the victim was on Kirk Drive.  At this time two males drove past him in a vehicle and fired several shots from a handgun at him.  In response, the victim fled from the suspects on foot.  As he did so, he was struck by a round in his lower body.

The suspects then fled the area in their vehicle.  The victim a 25 year-old male from Brampton was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he was treated and released.

Both suspects are described as male, black, with light complexions.  The suspect vehicle can be described as a silver coloured, early model, four-door Hyundai.

Investigators would like to speak to any individuals who were in the area of Kirk Drive at the time of the incident or anyone who may have information on this matter.

Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. If anyone comes into contact with the suspects, or knows their whereabouts, they should contact police immediately.
