Public help sought in case of collision, followed by shooting

Witnesses are being sought  in a single vehicle collision and reports of shots being fired in the Township of East Gwillimbury.

The York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau said that on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 8:40 p.m., police responded to the area of Catering Road and Ravenshoe Road, for reports of three males in a white four-door mid-sized vehicle which had left the roadway and ended up in a ditch. A short time later, witnesses reported hearing shots fired. No injuries were reported. The vehicle left the scene before police arrived.

Two suspects are described as: Male, Black, 20 to 30 years.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or altercation and has not yet spoken with police is being asked to please come forward.
