Actor Purab Kohli will soon be seen playing an Army officer in movie producer Nikkhil Advani’s next venture. As indicated by reports, Kohli met a few jawans of the Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army in Mumbai.
He likewise invested some time interfacing with the a few jawans who had battled in 1999 Kargil War. Purab picked up some nuances from their speech, dialect, body language and parading skills, as part of the research for his role.
He was quoted as saying, “There’s something about meeting defence personnel. It stirs you from inside. I met some jawans from the Sikh Regiment who are posted in Mumbai. I was intrigued when they told me that they actually prefer being at the border, guarding the nation rather than enjoying the luxuries of a peaceful posting. I was also surprised to know that some of them had seen my previous film, ‘Airlift’ (laughs). They enjoyed the portrayal of patriotism in it.” – CINEWS
