Audience says Emraan Hashimi is the lone silver lining in the movie.

Raaz Reboot, the fourth instalment of the popular Raaz franchise, faces tough competition from Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink.

The news of its leak went viral online on Tuesday night, with lead actor Emraan Hashmi urging his fans to avoid watching the leaked version. But later the director Vikram Bhatt said, “It’s not really leaked. We put in a bogus file because we know what’s been happening for the past few films, and we have understood that.”

Apparently, the bogus file was downloaded 5000 times within 10 to 15 minutes of the news.

Vikram Bhatt-helmed horror film opened to mix reviews and mostly empty theatres on day one, according to reports that it did better in the mass belt as opposed to multiplexes and the box office collection is expected to be low.

Emraan Hashmi-starrer Raaz Reboot is yet another horror film in the Raaz franchise.

With Gaurav Arora and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead, it has Emraan in an important role. Director Vikram Bhatt has chosen deep, dark forests, other exotic locales, eerie birds, ghostly looking turn-of-the-century mansions and dimly-lit lavish interiors in Romania as the setting of this horror film.

A Bollywood trade analyst  took to Twitter to share the details of the film’s performance at the box office. He shared, “#RaazReboot slow at plexes, better at single screens/mass belt…”.

A multiplex in Goregaon, Mumbai saw close to 20 to 25 people trooping in to watch the first show. And their response was a mixed one.

Viewers gave their thumbs up to Emraan Hashmi’s negative act. For most, he was the lone silver lining in the movie. Said a viewer, “It was good to see him in a different avatar this time around. And had it not been for his presence, the movie would have otherwise been lacklustre.” – CINEWS
