Raids in Germany over suspected IS collaborators

Berlin, Sep 22 (IANS) Hundreds of policemen on Tuesday raided several buildings looking for suspected Islamic State (IS) collaborators in the German capital of Berlin.

A police spokesman said the raids were part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged planned attack on the German security service, EFE news reported.

The suspects include a 51-year-old Moroccan citizen, accused of recruiting others to join the jihadi group in Syria.

The second suspect is a 19-year-old Macedonian, who is probably fighting in the IS ranks in Syria.
