Ramasundram becomes first woman to head paramilitary

New Delhi, Feb. 2 (ANI): With her appointment as Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), which guards India’s frontiers with Nepal and Bhutan, 58-year-old Tamil Nadu-cadre IPS officer Archana Ramasundram has become the first woman to head a paramilitary force.

Besides her, IPS officer K Durga Prasad has been appointed as Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Another IPS officer K.K. Sharma will be new Chief of the Border Security Force (BSF). (ANI)
