The recent victim of the lawless paparazzi brigade was actress Rani Mukerji who was desperately trying to shield her eight-month-old daughter Adira, fr0m prying lenses.
Rani had yelled at the cameramen asking them to stop her young daughter. Adira, born to Rani and Aditya Chopra in December 2015, has been shielded from the public gaze so far. A picture purporting to be of her which appeared on social media was later found to be a fake.
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra, are not the only celebs who have objected to having a photo taken.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are careful to keep their three-year-old daughter Nitara’s face hidden.
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose daughter Aaradhya is a frequent travel companion, was against her picture taken. Speaking of a time Aaradhya was photographed throwing tantrums, Aishwarya said: “At one point when we were walking, she was in a great mood, even as people clicked pictures. She was laughing and saying something funny. But, when people started caving in, I had to pick her up because she is too tiny to handle all that. I had to steer my way through the crowd. It is just a protective instinct, I keep her close.”
Aishwarya’s mother Brinda Rai once fell while leaving Mumbai airport with her daughter.
Aishwarya’s in-laws, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, have both had unpleasantly close encounters with the paparazzi.
Last week, Jaya Bachchan was angry when the crowd at an art exhibition refused to stop photographing her. – CINEWS
