Ranveer Singh who was embroiled in an ad controversy described as sexist, is yet again stepped into another row which is interpreted by some as a sexist comment.
While most of the stars like to keep us in the dark about their romances, once in a way giving us some hints to keep them in the headlines for the sake of publicity, we have no clue of where Ranvir and Deepika Padukone are heading.
This time Ranveer has said on a chat show he’d like to marry her as she is “marriage material” as if she is displayed on some shop shelf for sale.
A section of social media users deemed Ranveer’s remark as sexist.
This time Deepika’s dad, the celebrated badminton player Prakash Padukone who guarded his silence looking at the all developments like a player unable to decide whether to fire a smash at an opponent or to lob the birdie, has stepped in.
Choosing to offer a diplomatic reply, former badminton champion said that both Ranveer and Deepika are adults and know what they are doing.
He further added that as a father he has given Deepika the freedom to take her own decisions and even in this case, she was free to decide whatever she wanted to do. – CINEWS
