Singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani says he enjoys mentoring children.
Ravjiani, who will soon appear as a coach inthe upcoming singing reality show “The Voice India Kids”, says he is delighted to be be part of the show.
“I’ve always enjoyed being a mentor when it comes to children and was happy that I could work around my schedule to make myself available to appear on ‘The Voice India Kids’,” Ravjiani, who has earlier appeared as a judge on shows like “Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star”, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” and “Indian Idol Junior”, said in Mumbai. Ravjiani tried his hand at acting recently in the Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Neerja’.
Shekhar Ravjiani is a trained classical singer (under Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan). He learned to play the accordion from his father, a music enthusiast, Hasmukh Ravjiani. He composed and sung Marathi songs “Saazni” in 2012 and “Saavli” (with Sunidhi Chauhan) in 2013. Along with Vishal Dadlani, Rvjiani is looking forward for a bang in 2016 by composing the music for much awaited Salman khan film ‘Sultan\.
“It’s always good to be part of a show like ‘The Voice India Kids’ that plays a role in unearthing the sheer musical talent that the children of our country possess,” he added.
Besides Ravjiani, the show will also feature singers Neeti Mohan and Shaan as mentors. “The Voice India Kids” will showcase singers between the age group of six to 14 years.
‘The ‘Voice India Kids’ will be hosted by actor Jay Bhanushali along with stand-up comedian Sugandha Mishra. The Voice India Kids Auditions have already been completed in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi and the show will be aired very soon on &TV India Television channel. – CINEWS
