Panaji, Jan. 7 (ANI): Pop singer Remo Fernandes was on Thursday granted anticipatory bail by the Goa Children’s Court in connection with a case registered against him of allegedly verbally abusing a minor girl after she was hit by his son’s car.

The court granted him anticipatory bail with condition to produce a surety bond of Rs. 50,000 and directed him to report at Agassaim Police Station in north Goa for ten days from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The signer has also been asked to surrender his passport.

Summons was issued against the signer earlier after allegations against him of abusing a 17-year-old girl at the Goa Medical Hospital came to the fore.

The police had registered an FIR under the Goa Children’s Act against Fernandes for verbally abusing the minor girl, who was knocked down by the speeding car driven by his son Jonah on December 1. (ANI)
