New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS) Stations on the Violet Line’s Heritage section will have restricted entry and exit on Independence Day, Delhi Metro said on Monday.

“Metro Train services will run as usual across the entire Delhi Metro Network on Independence Day, August 15,” it said in a statement.

“However, the entry/exit at four stations of Line-6 (Kashmere Gate to Escorts Mujesar) — Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate and ITO — will be permitted from select entry/exit gates during the ceremony time and some gates will remain closed at these stations owing to security considerations during this period,” it said in a statement.

Additional ticket counters will be installed to facilitate the increased footfall on the day at Lal Quila and Jama Masjid stations, it said.
