Johannesburg, Feb.17 (ANI): Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, who will retire this year to focus on his political career, has not ruled out the chances of having a rematch with American boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquiao had earlier demanded a rematch against unbeaten Mayweather after suffering his sixth defeat of his career in the ‘Fight of the Century’ bout in Las Vegas in May.

The 37-year-old said that although he had decided to take retirement in April, he hinted that he could make a comeback as he was loving the sport as much as ever.

Talking about his fitness, Pacquiao insisted that he remained as physically capable as he used to be in the ring a decade ago, Sport24 reported.

The eight-division world champion, who will take retirement after his last fight against Timothy Bradley in April, will then fight for a senate seat in the May elections.

According to recent surveys, the boxer is on track to win one of 12 Senate seats in the elections, with his sporting heroics playing a major role for his political popularity.

Pacquiao has won 57 fights and lost only six bouts in his professional career of more than 20 years. (ANI)
