Russian president condoles deaths in Jhabua blasts

New Delhi, Sep 12 (IANS) Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday condoled the loss of lives in the blasts in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district.

In a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Russian president expressed his condolences, according to a statement from the Russian embassy.

Eighty seven people were killed and over 100 injured, 20 seriously, when a cylinder blast at a tea stall packed with customers was followed by a massive blast that ripped through an adjoining building in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district on Saturday, police said.
