One person who does not think that Mohenjo Daro competition will not affect Akshay Kumar’s Rustom is its director Tinu Suresh Desai.Talking to media about his latest film, Tinu said it is not exactly based on the famous Nanawati case.
“The story has been written by Vipul Rawal. I liked it and passed it on to Shital (Bhatia), our co-producer, who called Neeraj (Neeraj). He was abroad and liked the story too. He said he would co-produce it and gave his inputs. We developed it accordingly” the director said.
He said the film is not from the famous case. Rustom is a work of fiction. “You may find certain events in the film that may perhaps coincide with the case but it is not based on it”.
He also said that Akshay Kumar was his choice to play the character. He too liked the script immensely. Within two hours, Akshay had given his approval to do the film.
Talking about the cast he said all of them were very disciplined and cooperated in the project. – CINEWS
