Omung Kumar’s ‘Sarbjit’, based on an Indian farmer’s life by the same name who was imprisoned in a Pakistan jail after he was accused of being a spy, is set to premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 15.
This movie is based upon Dalbir Kaur’s 23-year-old struggle for his freedom which will portray Randeep Hooda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar.
Aishwarya, who is popular face of Cannes for the last 15 years, will walk the red carpet tomorrow with Omung and producers Bhushan Kumar, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sandeep Singh.
Omung, who is eagerly looking forward to the big night, says, “‘Sarbjit’ is a story which needs to be told and Cannes is an esteemed platform to showcase it due to its varied audience.
