New Delhi, Oct.14 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Satyapal Singh on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark on the Dadri case and the incident in Mumbai must be considered final, adding that the saffron party or the government has no links with such episodes.
“The words of the honourable Prime Minister are final. I have nothing to add to it. But various senior leaders in the BJP have maintained this that neither the Dadri incident nor the protest in Mumbai against the launch of Pakistani minister’s (ex-foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri) book has nothing to do with the party as such nor with the Central Government,” he told ANI here.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier said that he or his party BJP does not support incidents like the lynching of Mohd. Akhlaq at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh on beef rumours or even the cancellation of proposed musical programme of Ghulam Ali.
In an interview to a Kolkata-based daily newspaper, Prime Minister Modi said his party or the Centre has had no role in the two unfortunate incidents.
Prime Minister Modi blamed the opposition for trying to use these sad incidents and indulging in politics of polarisation. (ANI)
