SC allows SIT, STF to file chargesheets in Vyapam scam

New Delhi, July 20 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday permitted the Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Special Investigation Team (SIT) to file chargesheets in the Vyapam scam till July 23.

The order was passed by a bench headed by Chief Justice H.L. Dattu.

The CBI had on July 16 approached the apex court with the plea, saying that transfer of more than 185 Vyapam scam cases from SIT to CBI will take time and the state investigating agencies be allowed to file chargesheets in the cases in which the probe is complete.

The apex court had on July 9 ordered transfer of the probe into all Vyapam scam cases and the deaths allegedly linked to it to the CBI.

Meanwhile, the whistle blower in the case, Dr. Anand Rai, has been transferred from Indore to Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. (ANI)
