‘Security Council should be reformed to maintain its credibility’, says PM Modi

New York, Sept. 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the United Nations and the Security Council should be reformed so that its credibility is maintained.

“We must reform the United Nations, including its Security Council, so that it carries greater credibility and legitimacy,” he said while addressing the Sustainable Development Summit at the UN Head Quarters here.

Prime Minister Modi said the world is connected and dependent on each other.

“Our international partnerships need to be centered on progress of the humanity,” said Prime Minister Modi.

“We need to create a world where everyone feels safe, is respected and has opportunities to grow. I want everyone to prosper and that’s what I pray for: everyone’s happiness, and prosperity,” he added. (ANI)
