Miranda Kerr was not at home at the time.

Miranda Kerr’s Malibu home was the scene of a violent incident earlier Friday morning.

While the model was not present at the time, a confrontation between an intruder and a security guard left them both hospitalized.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed that a stabbing and shooting took place in the Malibu home after the intruder tried to climb over a gate and onto the private property.

The intruder was shot during the scuffle shortly after the security officer was stabbed, the LASD explained.

TMZ reports that the incident took place just outside of the property and not inside the house. Neither the security guard nor the intruder suffered life-threatening injuries, however, the security guard was airlifted from the scene of the ordeal and transported to a nearby Los Angeles hospital.

According to a press release, the security guard is listed in stable condition while the intruder is in critical condition. Miranda bought the home back in 2012 following her divorce from Orlando Bloom.

The brunette beauty put down over $2 million for the ocean side property, which boasts four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

The Australian native has yet to speak publicly on the scary matter. Detectives are actively investigating the incident at present time.

While she was dating English actor Orlando Bloom in 2009 a gang of thieves known as the Bling Ring broke into Bloom’s home. The group stole luxury brand clothing and jewellery. In this case, the ringleader allegedly wanted Kerr’s Victoria’s Secret lingerie.

In October 2013, Kerr and Bloom announced that they had separated several months earlier, and intend to end their marriage.
