Summertime is when many South Asian parents visit their families in Canada and believing the country is safe they can simply ignore their surroundings and not realize that danger could be lurking around the corner.

Over the years, there have been several instances in Peel Region where seniors have been robbed of their jewelry and money.

Seniors walking along deserted trails especially during odd hours of the day like the afternoon for instance could find themselves easy targets for thieves and other unsavoury characters.
