Johannesburg, Nov.27 (ANI): Premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been handed a one-match ban after being found guilty of using abusive language twice during the on-going Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 competition.
The 28-year-old, who is playing for Rangpur Riders, was found uttering abusive language after dismissing Sylhet Super Stars batsman Dilshan Munaweera on Thursday.
The world number one all-rounder was then seen directing offensive and abusive language towards umpire Tanvir Ahmed when his appeal against rival batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was rejected, Sport24 reported.
Shakib, who is known for his disciplinary problems, had been suspended by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for six months last year for a ‘severe attitude problem’.
He was also handed a three-match ban last year for making a lewd gesture towards a cameraman during a ODI against Sri Lanka. (ANI)
