Panaji, Oct 10 (IANS) “Shameless” Pakistan stands isolated and is about to get branded a terrorist state, Union Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Naik said at a public meeting here on Monday.
“Shameless Pakistan cannot fight face-to-face, therefore, it is trying to export terrorism. Pakistan is isolated and about to be declared a terrorist state,” Naik said at the meeting organised to congratulate the Indian Armed Forces for last month’s surgical strikes across the Line of Control.
He said that most parties had backed the action of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government to conduct the surgical strikes.
“The manner in which the central government is moving ahead, we will not lose a single inch of land and we are duty-bound to fulfil every promise to the people,” Naik said, adding that Pakistan will be taught a lesson, if it does not give up its pursuit of terrorism.
Speaking on the occasion, state BJP President Vinay Tendulkar said Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar may have been mulling surgical strikes even during the National Executive meet of the BJP, which was held in Kerala in September.
“On September 24, CM Manohar bhai and I were in Kerala for the National Executive (meet). He did not say anything to us. I thought something is going on in his (Parrikar’s) mind. We saw what happened over the next few days. Goans should be proud that only four persons knew about the surgical strikes and a Goan was one of them,” Tendulkar said.
“Tomorrow is Dussehra. We worship weapons on that day. These weapons should not be kept just like that. We will have to bring them out and wipe out the Congress and opposition and bring back the BJP government. We should reduce the number of Congress seats from nine to three in the upcoming elections,” Tendulkar said.
