Sheena murder case: Police custody of Indrani, accomplices extended till Sept.7 (Update)

Mumbai, Sept.5 (ANI): The police custody of the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani Mukherjea and her accomplices(ex-husband Sanjeev khanna and her driver) was extended till September 7.

The accused driver Shyamvar Rai’s lawyer on Saturday said that the driver is accused number one in the case.

The driver is accuse number one. After 12 days of custodial interrogation, court has extended the custody till September 7 of Indrani Mukherjea and her accomplices(ex-husband Sanjeev khanna and her driver). He(driver) is an accused and I am defending him as an accused,” said Shyamvar’s lawyer, Shriniwas Bhave.

Earlier in the day, Indrani Mukerjea, wife of ex-TV honcho Peter Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai appeared before Bandra Magistrate court.

Indrani Mukherjea was arrested on August 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012. She has been accused of killing her over a financial dispute, with the help of her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver.(ANI)
