Mumbai, Oct.12, (ANI): Justifying the brazen ink attack on the chairman of the Mumbai unit of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), Sudheendra Kulkarni, the Shiv Sena on Monday said it was a non-violent protest and denied rumours that it was withdrawing its protest against the launch of former Pakistan foreign minister Kasuri’s book.
“Sudheendra Kulkarni’s face is blackened and he is roaming around with his blackened face. It wasn’t an attack, it was a non-violent protest. Also message is going around that we have withdrawn our protest, this is a blatant lie. We hold our stand,” Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told a press conference here.
“Kasuri has been supporting the Hurriyat Conference. We have sent evidence of former Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s acts against India to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis,” he added.
Shiv Sena workers on Monday smeared ink on Kulkarni, who is organising Kasuri’s book launch here.
The Shiv Sena has said the book launch is an insult to martyred Indian soldiers. (ANI)
