The first song of Shivaay, Bolo Har Har Har was released today drawing lot of praise on social media. Its composition is all about shlokas and Lord Shiva.
Composed by Mithoon, and sung by a host of talented singers – Mohit Chauhan, Sukhwinder, Megha Sriram and Dalton, the song talks about the war between the good and the evil. The rap portion has been done by Baadshah.
With the spiritual slant of a devotional hymn the song has a calming influence against the onrush of Baadshah’s vocals. The two layers of music gel nicely and lot of thought has gone to this effort and judging by the fan reaction to its trailer, and now this song. Shivaay can be one of the biggest block busters of the year. Some on social media commented that Bolo Har Har is a copy of the drug/weed fuelled Manali Trance. We think the songs are poles apart.
Baadshah’s has already given two dance anthems this year – ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ and ‘Kala Chashma’.
Ajay also has produced another gem, Parched, which has been very popular with festivals abroad.
We are wondering why director-actor Ajay Devgn got so intimidated with the controversy of bribe-for-promotion scandal that he declared war against the self-proclaimed film critic, Kamaal R Khan, and dragged Karan Johar into the controversy too. We guess he should’ve allowed his film to do the talking.
Shivaay is directed by national award-winning actor, Devgn himself. The film will also feature Saira Banu’s grandniece, Sayyeshaa Saigal, Polish actress, Erika Kaar and British child actor Abigail Eames. It is set for a major clash with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the box office this Diwali.
Ajay said earlier that “There is no religion (angle in the film). I am not portraying Shiva. If you see my lines also, ‘jiske bheetar basa Shivaay‘, (means) who has Shiva in his heart. In the film also, he is not sitting and meditating and praying. He has got tattoos of Shiva all over his body and he is called Shivaay in the film.” – CINEWS
