Melissa Etheridge has not shy about sharing her thoughts on former best friend Brad Pitt’s divorce from Angelina Jolie, and now she’s revealed that Angie’s not happy about it!
As a matter of fact, the actress’ camp confronted the singer, but she’s not backing down.
Melissa Etheridge, 55, used to be very close friends with Brad Pitt, 52, but that ended when he began dating Angelina Jolie, 41.
Melissa has been throwing insults at the actress since she filed for divorce from Brad, claiming on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show that she’s “nasty,” “evil,” and lying about Brad abusing the kids (though there’s still no proof that Angie filed a complaint about Brad with child protective services.)
Angelina has definitely heard her disses, and she’s angry.
The singer revealed on Oct. 5 on the set of Watch What Happens Live that Angelina’s team actually confronted her about her statements on the show, and they weren’t happy. “I ran into you this morning, crazily, and you said that you had heard from Angelina’s camp, and that what you had heard was not great,” said Andy.
“Well, it’s, you know, there are people whose business it is, whose job it is, to kind of fix things for celebrities,” explained Melissa. “And I understand, because sometimes we say things … and every time I say something, it gets out there, and it gets turned around and twisted, and all of a sudden I’m saying something about her.”
Melissa’s former comments seemed pretty cut and dry, but then she took it a step further by singing a song about their divorce on the show, called “The Fixer Blues.”
