Aizawl, Jan 8 (IANS) Six people were killed and nine others injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling rolled down into a ravine in Mizoram on Friday, police said.
“A maxi-cab carrying passengers coming to Aizawl from Zokhawthar village in Champhai district near Myanmar border fall into a deep gorge at Seling village, near Aizawl, killing all the six people on the spot,” a police official said.
Police along with local people recovered all the six bodies.
All the injured, including two children, were shifted to the hospital, where condition of most of the injured stated to be serious.
Police are yet to confirm the cause of the accident. However, it was suspected that the driver might have dozed off.
