Sonu Sood says he’s not been approached for Dabangg 3

Actor Sonu Sood says he has not been approached for Dabangg 3 yet but he is aware that its scripting has started and said it might take a long time for it to finish.

The 43-year-old actor says there is still a long way to go before the final script is ready as there are several stages involved in the process. “I have not been approached. Even I heard they are working on the script. It is the best way to go about things. First, you need to write the script, re-work on lots of things. First draft, second draft, once the final script is ready then you visualise which actors fits the roles,” Sonu said during an interview.

He played the role of villain Chedi Singh in the first instalment of the Salman Khan starrer. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap.

Dabangg,  is a story of a corrupt but fearless cop. The second instalment was helmed by Arbaaz Khan, who recently announced that work on “Dabangg 3” has started.

The “Happy New Year” star says he would love to be a part of the third instalment of the action-drama franchise. “I am glad they are writing the script. I am sure they will take the best call, which will be good for the film. I would love to be part of ‘Dabangg 3’. I have a great rapport with the family (Salman’s)”.

Sonu is currently gearing up for the release of his maiden production venture ‘Tutak Tutak Tutiya’. Directed by AL Vijay, the film also stars Prabhudheva and Tamannaah Bhatia.

The horror-comedy will be released across three languages, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on October 7.

Sonu Sood predominantly acts in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil films. He has also appeared in a few Kannada and Punjabi films.

In 2009, he received Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Villain and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu for his work in the Telugu blockbuster, Arundhati. In 2010, He garnered Apsara Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for the Bollywood blockbuster, Dabangg. – CINEWS
