SP should not allow any wrong activity in Ayodhya: BSP

New Delhi, Dec. 23 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday said that the ruling Samajwadi Party Government in Uttar Pradesh must not allow any wrong activity in the temple city of Ayodhya.

“It becomes the responsibility of the Samajwadi Party not to allow any wrong activity there. If any wrong activity goes on there, then I believe the Samajwadi Party Government is responsible for that. They must vigil so that the order of the Supreme Court is not violated,” Mayawati told the media here.

“The BJP or the RSS have always been in support of carrying out wrong deeds and not obliging by the order of the Supreme Court. The Centre should also impose certain restrictions. When the BSP Government was there, I never allowed any such activity,” she added.

Almost six months after the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced its nationwide drive to collect stones for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, two trucks of stones arrived in the temple city on Sunday.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat had earlier in Kolkata expressed hope that a Ram temple would be constructed in his lifetime. (ANI)
